Contents
During the seminar, various topics related to the application field will be developed in the form of seminar presentations. The fields of application can vary from semester to semester. In the topic of driver assistance, the following basics are dealt with
- Human driving behavior
- Design and test of driver assistance systems
- Modern automotive sensor technology (radar, lidar, stereo camera system, ultrasound)
In addition, applications will be discussed, e.g.
- ABS, ASR, ESP
- adaptive cruise control
- Pedestrian detection
- Lane departure warning systems
- Visibility enhancement systems
- Parking assistance
Modern motor vehicles already have a large number of different assistance systems designed to support the driver. The main aim is to mitigate or, better still, prevent accidents, but also to enhance comfort in the car. The complex, electrical signal processing of camera-based driver assistance systems is a research focus of the IMS.
The subject of modern medical technology is used in a wide range of applications to make diagnoses and treat patients. The complex, electrical signal processing of sensor-based medical and/or imaging systems is a comprehensive field which is also covered by computer engineering.
- Imaging systems
- Medical systems
- Software in medical systems
- Security in medical systems
The offered proseminar is primarily intended for students of computer science and technical computer science in the bachelor study. Previous knowledge is not required.
Registration
Laboratory places are allocated via the central laboratory registration system of the Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science. Students of all faculties have to register for the lab via this system. The assignment of a supervisor takes place in the introductory event. In addition, you must register your participation in this event in Stud.IP.
