On August 19, 2024, the Mixed-Signal Circuits Group at IMS had the honor of welcoming Professor Ching-Jan Chen from National Taiwan University. During his visit, Prof. Chen received a comprehensive overview of our current research projects.
In his presentation, Prof. Chen introduced the DC-DC converters developed at his institute, which are monolithically integrated with a CPU. These converters are characterized by excellent transient response and extremely low power consumption in standby mode, addressing key challenges for future microprocessors.
The presentation sparked an engaging discussion on innovative approaches in power management and energy-efficient microelectronics, providing numerous ideas for further research.
